First Attempt

I've just run a 10k, having 'trained' myself from a complete non-runner (unable to run more than 30 seconds without collapsing). This took about six months and comprised:
  • 2 months of doing a C25K podcast
  • 2 months of running for half an hour only occasionally because it was winter
  • 2 months of extending my time upwards at a painfully slow pace until I could squeeze out 8k+
You'd think I would have become a lean whippety build with superb technique in this time - but no, from the beginning I just seem to have one speed: SLOW. If I speed up, I quickly have to stop. If I slow down, I am walking. And it took me over 80 minutes to do my inaugural 10k race!

So I have a mission - which is to get this down to an hour.
